BFGTech is undoubtedly best known for its graphics cards, but it also makes other components like the (questionably useful)
PhysX card, (and far more useful) motherboards and power supplies. It concentrates on making (or contracting
ToPower to make) just two serious wattage models in both 800W and 1000W varieties, although without the option of modular cables.
The cardboard box that the unit comes in is quite informative, giving you plenty of details of what exactly is inside and what the PSU contains although there's no additional carry handle. The power supply inside comes bubble wrapped for protection during shipping.
Accessories
- Gunmental braided power cable with a clear plastic covering and a ferrite cored EMI shield;
- Reusable Velcro coloured cable ties;
- Two zip ties;
- Case screws;
- SATA to Molex adapters.
The Velcro cable ties are certainly valuable because they are almost endlessly reusable, but the variety of colours may be unsuitable for some of the more discrete case designs. The provided power cable here isn't correct, but those bought in the UK will come with a UK plug that retains the same cool braiding. Phew.
The SATA to Molex adapters are a truly awesome innovation. Not only are they low profile and all in one, so that no extra cables are left dangling, but they also fit snugly without falling off and at the same time are easy to remove. By including adapters you can tailor your connector arrangement; if say you have an older Molex only hard drive between a couple of SATAs or you have a combination of SATA and IDE optical drives it can really save time spent managing or rearranging the mess of cables.
